Nordic Brand Manager to McDonald’s
About the role
We are now looking for a Nordic Brand Manager to maximize marketing and drive brand love through great campaigns and creative content with the customer at heart! In this role you will work across the Nordics region, covering Sweden, Norway, Denmark & Finland.
Key responsibilities
- Manage regional campaigns:
- Brief, create and manage regional promotions from planning to activation.
- Responsible for creating assets and content for food and value promotions for local implementation by Marketing Activation Teams.
- Project budget management with input from Marketing Activation teams.
- Close dialogue with local Marketing Activation teams to optimize toolboxes, needs and output.
- Execute Creative Effectiveness Program initiatives.
- McCafé – Together with Menu & Innovation Team you evolve our McCafé offer and communication. Brief, create and manage campaigns and activate together with Marketing Activation Teams in the four Nordic countries.
- Convenience – Together with the CX team and Marketing Activation Teams activate our Mobile Order Pay, McDrive, and McDelivery across the Nordic region and prepare for activation on restaurant level.
- Creative agency relationship – Day-to-day collaboration by project
In this position you will be based in Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen or Helsinki and you report to Marketing & Brand Strategy Director.
About you
As a person, you are business oriented, well organized and driven to achieve quality results. You are an independent doer who collaborates and adapts communicate style to a given audience.
Your qualifications
- You have at least 5 years’ experience from a similar role as Brand Manager, preferable from strong brand within B2C.
- Ability and experience of converting insights into great briefs.
- Proven project management skills.
- You are a strong communicator both verbally and in writing, in English and one more Nordic language.
- You have a relevant degree or diploma in marketing/communication.
Meritorious: experience from McDonald’s restaurants.

McDonald’s is the largest restaurant chain in the Nordics, serving iconic products like the Big Mac® and their world-famous fries to 600.000 guests every day. McDonald’s have approximately 20.000 employees in around 430 restaurants, delivering a great restaurant experience to their guests. Most of the McDonald’s restaurants are owned and operated by local franchisees.
Food Folk Group owns the licensee rights for McDonald’s in the Nordics since 2017 and will join the journey to develop McDonald’s. The Nordic headquarter organization consists of around 220 colleagues. The organization is built on a matrix structure, where about half of the employees are working locally in one of their four markets and half are working in Nordic functions.
