Maybe the most exciting interim position for marketing managers?
It is not every day that someone launches a new car brand, but that’s not what is unusual about Lynk & Co. We are re-defining the entire experience of buying, owning and using a car. Our fast-growing team, based in Gothenburg, Amsterdam and Hangzhou are reshaping mobility as we know it.
We are currently recruiting a new manager to our marketing team, but meanwhile, we are looking for you who want to join the global marketing team as their leader for approximately 3-6 months. Your team is a group of independent and your focus will be to coordinate and plan the ongoing and nearest future marketing activities. We work together with the recruitment agency KIMM (specialist in recruiting and interim Marketing & Communication positions) and you will be hired as a consultant through them.

Your focus
During your time as Interim Marketing Manager, your responsibility is to lead and coordinate the marketing team in their daily work and execute on the marketing plan. You will have the pleasure of working in a fast-paced environment and be a part of an amazing team of 10 people, whom are experienced project managers and are specialists in their areas of responsibilities. Together you are running the global brand, social media channels, web, event and internal communication. We strive to work as much as possible across departments. You and the team work closely with the departments Customer relations, PR and Commercial operations, just to mention some of them.
In a few years, 2020, we will enter the European market and the team are preparing for this and have been since 2016. We are already live in China and have a lot of marketing activities going on as we speak. The following months we have events, updates on our website and on other commercial channels to look forward to.
The focus is to be operative, but you need to have the future in your mind. As we go in to the fall, you’ll make suggestions for the budget- and staff planning for next year. This interim position is based in Gothenburg and will require some travel, mainly in Europe, for events and different meetings.
Your leadership style
Even though you will not have full staff responsibility and your focus will be on execute on the marketing plan, we still bealive your leadership style is important. To get as much out of this team during your time at Lynk & Co, you must be a leader that believe in the team. We want to do something than no-one has ever done, therefore your faith that the individuals in your team can achieve this is important. Even though you always work towards deadlines and KPI:s, you have the ability to see the person behind the figures.
As you are coordinating a senior team with a lot of knowledge in both their own and other areas, you’ll have an open and entrepreneurial mindset in your leadership style. One of your best skill is to lead other leaders and to coordinate projects and initiatives led by others. In short, you are a people-person with a lot of go and who get things done.
A little bit about you and your background
When hiring, we look for collaborators. Original thinkers. People who value being open, personal and challenging. People who think (like we do) that imagination is as important as expertise and value instinct and insight as much as experience.
For this interim position, we are open to different kind of backgrounds and the most important is that you are used to lead a team in a company that are in changing. Of course, you need to have a deep knowledge in all marketing activities and channels. A background in event and social media is preferable. We believe you might have been an agency manager, business manager, marketing manager/director or equivalent experience. If you have previously worked in interim assignments, it is beneficial because you know the importance of a fast delivery.
